3 Nights Armenia

Day 1: Arrival / Yerevan City Tour

  1. Arrival at Zvartnots International Airport
  2. Meeting with the company representative and transfer to the selected hotel.
  3. After some rest evening city tour around Yerevan the history of which goes back to 8th c.
  4. The sightseeing tour includes visit to Republic Square, Northern Avenue, Opera House with Swam Lake, Cascade Monument which is considered to be the center of art of the city as here you can find unique sculptures.
  5. In the evenings the place is becoming more charming with all its lights and people from all over the world.
  6. Do not forget to visit Republic Square in the dark to enjoy the “Dancing Fountains” which gathers people around to show its choreographed water show synchronized with lights and music.

Day 2: / Yerevan / KhorVirap / Areni winery / Noravank / Yerevan

  1. Morning departure to KhorVirap Monastery (4-17cc.) Which is located very close to the Biblical Mount Ararat.
  2. Here with have the opportunity to be closed to the mount and make a photo stop.
  3. The significance of the church is connected with Grigor Illuminator who was prisoned in the church for 13 years for adapting Christianity as state religion.
  4. Departure to VayotsDzor region to visit Areniwinery and taste homemade wine.
  5. Visit Noravank (means “New Monastery) Monastery (13th c.), which is a masterpiece of Armenian architecture located in the narrow gorge and encircled with red-stoned mountains which gives one the harmony of nature and culture.
  6. Departure back to the capital.
  7. Leisure time on your own and overnight at the hotel in Yerevan. (B/-/-)

Day 3: Yerevan /Garni / Geghard / Vernissage

  1. After breakfast departure to Geghard Monastery (13th c.) – a monastery which is hewn out from a cave.
  2. The monastery had been originally named Ayrivank meaning "the Monastery of the Cave".
  3. The name commonly used for the monastery today, Geghard, or more fully Geghardavank meaning "the Monastery of the Spear".
  4. The monastery is also included in the UNESCO World Heritage list.
  5. Continue our journey to Garni Pagan Temple from 1st c.
  6. The temple was built by Armenia King Tiridates and was dedicated to the God of Sun Mithra.
  7. Garni is the only Hellenistic temple existing nowadays in Armenia.
  8. The stairs of the temple are made huge and high which means that every human being climbing up the stairs is condescending to God of Sun.
  9. Drive back to Yerevan to visit Vernissage flea market which offer many kinds of national souvenirs, jewelry and many traditional items.
  10. You can also visit Dalma Garden Mall for some shopping.

Day 4: Departure

  1. According to the flight details, transfer to the airport and departure home!

  1. After breakfast departure to the resort town of Tsakhkadzor (Gorge of Flowers) – town of forested mountains.
  2. Walking tour around the city.
  3. Opportunity to ride up the ropeway which will take you to the peak of mount Teghenis mount from where opens breathtaking view to the fortress town.
  4. The road will take us to Lake Sevan which is going to be one of the highlights of your trip.
  5. Climb the stairs up on the peninsula from where opens a fascinating view to the “blue-eyed” lake.
  6. Sightseeing tour on the peninsula.
  7. Lake Sevan is considered to be one of the largest sweet lakes in the world at an altitude of 1897 meters above sea level.
